Healthy Connections, a Federally-Qualified Health Center (FQHC) with over 25 years of service to communities in Western and Central Arkansas, is seeking a skilled and compassionate Dental Hygienist to join our growing dental team at our Mena or Hot Springs clinics.
What You’ll Do- Perform patient assessments, including medical history reviews, dental and periodontal charting, and vital signs.
- Provide a full range of hygiene services such as cleanings, polishing, X-rays, local anesthesia, sealants, fluoride treatments, and DSRP as appropriate.
- Educate patients on oral hygiene, disease prevention, and post-treatment care.
- Collaborate with dentists and team members to improve clinical processes and patient outcomes.
- Document patient care accurately and promptly, adhering to Arkansas Dental Practice Act standards.
- Maintain infection control and OSHA compliance to ensure a safe environment.
- Assist with emergency hygiene support, patient triage, and walk-in care when needed.
- Participate in practice improvement initiatives, including Patient-Centered Medical Home and quality projects.
- Current Arkansas license as a Registered Dental Hygienist.
- Bachelor’s degree in a related clinical field preferred.
- Ability to provide ethical, evidence-based care within a team setting.
- Experience in patient education and documentation in dental records.
- Knowledge of dental surgery support, instrumentation, and sterilization practices.
- Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to engage diverse patients.
- Willingness to travel between clinic locations as necessary.
- Eligibility for post-offer/pre-employment physical and immunizations (e.g., TB, rubella).
