Job Overview
Early Childhood Education Assistant Teachers will work within the UW Oshkosh Head Start program, a federally funded preschool program serving low‑income families. This role supports up to 384 children across seven centers located in five different counties. Staff wellness is prioritized through individual/group reflective practice, practice‑based coaching, and wellness initiatives.
Key Job Responsibilities- Updates and organizes individualized and developmental educational plans for children
- Documents effective communication with internal and external stakeholders to relay pertinent information and provide updates of child activities per established guidelines and regulations
- Assists with basic technical and administrative classroom support
- Maintains the safety and physical well‑being of children in a designated classroom
- Assists with the planning and facilitation of classroom programming and classroom coordination and organization for an early childhood education facility according to established curriculums
- Completed or current enrollment in an Associate Degree in Early Childhood Education program or a Preschool Child Development Associate Credential (CDA). If currently enrolled, the credential must be successfully completed within nine months of hire.

Hiring IncentiveNew hires working 21 hours or more per week receive a $500 bonus after 90 days. Those working 20 hours or less receive a $250 bonus after the 90‑day period.
