The Preconstruction Manager will lead a cross‑functional team supporting a project from pursuit inception through the sales process, design and engineering coordination, planning stages (3D/BIM coordination, detailing, scheduling), and manufacturing support with Excellerate, and will also provide support during construction, commissioning, and turnover. The Preconstruction Manager will work collaboratively with operations side project managers, act as the key client contact during preconstruction/planning, and transition control of the project to the construction project manager.
Minimum Requirements- Education:
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or Construction Management - Experience:
10 years of electrical contracting experience or MEP coordination - Travel: 15‑25%
- Work Schedule:
Typical hours 7:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m., Monday–Friday; may be performed at any time to meet business needs.
- Coordinate design activities with consultants, subcontractor partners, and clients.
- Work with the Group Manager of Preconstruction developing best‑in‑class Preconstruction services to internal and external clients.
- Inform project leadership of all open or unresolved design issues and track design and cost changes during project development.
- Participate in meetings and presentations to present the benefits of Faith Technologies Preconstruction Services.
- Utilize Faith Technologies Project Status Report (PSR), Task Item Analysis (TIA), Roles & Responsibilities Tracker, Preconstruction Cost reports to monitor project progress and engineering, design, and CAD project budgets.
- Oversee the development of designs, cost estimates, and value engineering solutions.
- Serve as the single point of contact for the Project Manager for all Preconstruction activities.
- Provide guidance to project managers during the design phase to ensure construction activities comply with specifications, codes, and customer requirements.
- Perform other related duties as required and assigned.
