Overview
Data Business Analyst III will serve as a bridge between business stakeholders and technical teams to ensure data-related projects are delivered with clear requirements, measurable business value, and high-quality outcomes. This role will support enterprise data initiatives, including data governance, master data management, analytics, and reporting projects.
Minimum Requirements- Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Data Analytics, or related field; or relevant experience. - Experience:
5+ years as a Business Analyst with significant exposure to data projects. Strong understanding of data governance, data quality, master data management, and BI/reporting tools. - Technical skills:
Familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, Qlik; data warehousing concepts, ETL/ELT processes, and cloud data platforms (GCP, Azure, AWS). - Ability to work across multiple projects and manage competing priorities.
- Travel: 10%.
- Work Schedule:
7 AM-5 PM Monday-Friday, with flexibility to meet business needs.
- Relationship and Communication Management:
Develop and maintain productive working relationships with business partners, project managers, owners, sponsors, vendors, and clients. - Requirements Management:
Use standard templates and methods to collect, analyze, develop, and document business requirements. Define data quality, lineage, and metadata requirements in collaboration with data governance teams. - Problem Solving and Analysis:
Facilitate gathering of information to determine effort estimates for cost, scope, timeline, and resources. Collaborate with technical teams to develop data models, ETL/ELT processes, and report solutions. Provide input on data platform enhancements, analytics dashboards, and self‑service BI capabilities. - Testing:
Support development of test cases to ensure data requirements are met. Manage issue resolution during user acceptance testing. - Documentation & Process Improvement:
Maintain business process maps, data dictionaries, and change logs. Identify opportunities to improve data‑related processes, governance, and analytics adoption.
