Our client, a well-established insurance organization, is seeking a dynamic Commercial Lines Manager to lead and develop a high-performing team responsible for delivering exceptional service to commercial clients. This role offers the opportunity to shape department strategy, drive process improvements, and guide a hybrid team across multiple locations. The ideal candidate will combine operational expertise with strong leadership skills, helping to enhance efficiency, implement innovative tools, and build a culture of accountability and collaboration.
Duties and Responsibilities- Lead, coach, and develop a team of Account Executives and Account Managers to achieve department goals.
- Manage day-to-day operations and ensure workflows align with established playbooks and best practices.
- Oversee performance management initiatives including reviews, goal setting, and coaching cycles.
- Partner cross-functionally with Sales, Business Development, and Risk Advisory teams to ensure seamless sales-to-service transitions.
- Supervise outsourcing and partner relationships to ensure quality, efficiency, and compliance with standards.
- Drive continuous improvement through the implementation of process efficiencies and technology-driven solutions.
- Monitor departmental performance metrics and champion accountability across a dispersed hybrid workforce.
- Cultivate a team-first culture emphasizing client focus, communication, and professional growth.
- Support organizational initiatives including segmentation, cross-sell, and client retention strategies.
Must Haves
- Minimum of five years of Commercial Lines insurance experience.
- At least two years of experience leading or managing teams.
- Proven ability to coach, motivate, and develop client-facing professionals.
- Holds and maintains an active Property & Casualty license.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a demonstrated ability to manage workflows and performance.
- Comfortable working in a process-driven, hybrid environment and traveling as needed between multiple offices.
- Experience managing outsourced partnerships or service vendors.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and insurance management systems.
- Familiarity with efficiency tools or AI-enabled process improvements.
