Milling Foreman

Position Summary:

Bituminous Roadways, Inc. (BR) is a growing, award-winning, and established union highway/heavy contractor looking for a Milling Foreman to join our team. This position provides overall on-site leadership on a construction project site. Supervises and coordinates activities of workers engaged in the milling of parking lots and streets. Must have knowledge of the operations of the mill and how to run the ground controls and automatics.

Must know grades and be able to ensure projects have proper drainage when milling is complete.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensure quality on the job.
• Promote and ensure safety on all jobs at all times.
• Ensure field logs are completed accurately and job sites are organized.
• Communicate daily with Project Manager or Project Superintendent to discuss schedule and production needs.
• Keep updated and aware of weather and forecast and plan for potential issues.
• Ensure job sites are cleaned and swept daily.
• Daily monitoring of crews and production tracking utilizing industry leading software.
• Communication with Superintendents and Project Management Staff.
• Daily crew scheduling.
• Foreman position will be an active working member of the crew.
• Make sure crew is taking care of the equipment.
• Mentor and train employees.
• Safety awareness.
• Knowledge of traffic control.
• Knowledge of  ’s safety policy and enforce our policy in daily operations.
• Stretch with crews daily.
• Ensure tool box talks are done weekly.

Preferred Experience/Education:

• Skid steer mounted milling and broom attachments.
• Milling machines.
• Self-propelled brooms.
• Driver License (CDL Preferred).
