The rapid growth of our firm brings an opportunity to join one of Northwestern Mutual’s premier teams as an Investment & Planning Specialist.
Responsibilities:
Investment Services
- Complete, submit, and track account investment paperwork until open/funded
- Assist with any asset movement including contribution adjustments, trading, transfers, rollovers, conversions, and more
- Complete trade tickets for submission to operations department
- Manage service-related tasks for client investment accounts
- Respond to investment related compliance requirements, alerts, and flags. Manage the investment record keeping practice for the firm. Maintain FINRA state registrations.
- Follow up with clients with statements, contributions, Docu Sign, etc.
- Respond to client inquiries for investment account information, services, and charges.
Planning Services
- Create and/or modify PX plans as necessary
- Prepare and design case prep for financial planning meetings
- Run investment reports for client use or team use
- Participate in weekly and monthly team meetings to assess goals
- Work collaboratively as a team on strategic planning for clients
- Projects as assigned
- Effectively communicate with the team, prioritizing time-sensitive tasks
Qualifications:
- Life and Health license preferred or obtained within 3 months of hire
- SIE, Series 7 and 63 preferred or obtained within 3 months of hire
- Completion of annual continuing education to maintain FINRA and company registrations required
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance and/or equivalent work experience
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to set priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy and reliability
- Ability to maintain a high degree of confidentiality
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to adapt to change and identify process improvements
- Efficient communicator with both clients and team members
