Job SummaryThe Associate Claims Administrator supports the claims process by reviewing, verifying, and processing insurance claims in accordance with company policies and regulatory guidelines. This role involves data entry, documentation management, and communication with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate resolution of claims. Candidates must exhibit strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and customer service.
EssentialResponsibilities
- Assist in servicing claims on behalf of clients in all lines of commercial insurance in accordance with agency workflow and procedures.
- Take calls regarding new claims and enter information into the system while submitting claims to carriers.
- Work with insurance carriers to obtain the best claim resolution.
- Enter claim acknowledgements, payments, or closures into the system.
- Follow up on requests from insureds and claimants on status of claims.
- Scan and enter all mail pertaining to claim updates.
- Run claim recap reports for Risk Advisors.
- Proactively respond to daily client correspondence in a quick and accurate manner.
- Assist Claims Administrators and Senior Claims Administrators on larger accounts when necessary.
- Collaborate with risk advisors to identify claims issues, potential solutions, strategies and services for clients.
- Prepare and analyze loss history, experience modifications, and claim reports.
- Maintain internal and external relationships with professionalism.
- Participate in client meetings as necessary.
- Attend and actively participate in agency service training meetings.
- Continuously pursue professional development; pursue and maintain professional designations if applicable.
- High school degree, bachelor’s degree, or equivalent, with a minimum of 2 years in property & casualty insurance.
- Active property & casualty insurance license (or ability to obtain one within first 90 days).
- Excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Thorough knowledge of commercial insurance coverage and claims processes.
- Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment.
- Professionalism in maintaining internal and external relationships.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office suite.
- Knowledge of Mod Master and basic concepts is a plus.

- Sit at a desk for extended periods of time and perform long hours of work sitting at a computer.
- Move around office/building/facilities repeatedly throughout the day.
- Apply manual dexterity, visual acuity, and ability for computer keyboarding and office equipment use.
- Possess a valid driver’s license and be able to travel to different North Risk Partners locations for meetings and client visits.
- Work a flexible schedule, including overtime and potential evenings/weekends for events and meetings as needed.
