Attorney at Law - Litigation

Job Description

Dudley and Smith, P.A. is seeking an Associate Attorney, with a minimum 3 years of experience in litigation which includes administrative litigation, motion practice, familiar with commercial documents, knowledge in business and corporate transactions and a wide variety of litigation. This is a full-time position available at a well-respected, well-known, Twin Cities law firm that has been in existence for over 70 years.

Applicants also need to have strong verbal and written communication skills. The firm is seeking a smart, confident, well-rounded individual who is motivated, creative, common sense-oriented candidate with great critical and analytical skills. Must be duly licensed in the State of Minnesota. Must be a people person and a team player.

Responsibilities:

• Represent clients in court or before government agencies
• Prepare and draft legal documents on behalf of clients
• Advise clients on legal transactions
• Perform legal research
• Prepare briefs
• Argue motions
• Represent clients in meditation
• Represent clients in arbitration
• Manage a variety of day-to-day Litigation matters
• Comply with all legal standards and regulations
• Perform administrative and management functions related to the practice of law

• Minimum 3 years previous experience required in Litigation Law
• Ability to prioritize tasks and adapt to quick changes while remaining diligent through each task performed
• Strong analytical, legal research, and writing skills
• Excellent academic credentials and references
