Material Handler EOL

PM shift | Mon–Thu 5pm–3am (10‑hour shifts) | $2 shift differential

What You Will Do
  • The End of the Line Material Handler is responsible for stacking, shrink wrapping, and delivering finished product to its appropriate area.
  • Operating a forklift, pallet jacks, and other machinery is mandatory to complete the functions of this job efficiently.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
  • Use proper materials to move finished product to skid, shrink wrapper, and label correctly.
  • Correctly and safely stack finished production on skid in the warehouse.
  • Use the scanner to control inventory of product and supplies.
  • Complete required paperwork (quality check sheets, label pallet racks).
  • Keep work area clean (floor swept as well as picking up paper, wood, strapping, etc.).
  • Ability to read and understand job sheets/packing instructions.
  • Take out and put away garbage in dumpsters.
  • Work truck safety check.
  • Properly start and stop the conveyor.
  • Scan product correctly.
  • Experience in using battery Fork Trucks and propane Fork Trucks.
Battery Fork Truck
  • As a certified forklift operator, you are required to change batteries on your fork truck. Charged batteries will need to be checked for water level and filled with water manually before installing new battery onto the fork truck.
  • All safety guidelines must be followed when moving, removing, and installing batteries.
Propane Fork Truck
  • As a certified forklift operator, you are required to change propane fuel tanks on your fork truck. Empty cylinders are removed and replaced with full cylinders and must be properly secured.
  • All safety guidelines must be followed when removing and installing propane tanks.
Additional Qualifications That Will Help You Be Successful in This Role
  • Employees work indoors in hot and cold environments.
  • Employees are often exposed to loud sounds and distracting noise levels.
  • Employees will need to be alert/attentive to heavy machinery on the distribution floor (e.g., forklifts).
  • Must wear safety attire (e.g., vest).
  • General education/good math skills.
  • Fork truck driving.
  • Computer skills.
  • Know how to move parts/cartons from one location to another on the computer.
  • Safely operate a forklift truck.
  • Use proper and safe lifting techniques.
  • Ability to read and understand English.
  • This position requires you to be on your feet all day. The employee may have to lift objects/equipment from time to time on the floor individually or as a team (40 lbs). Physical movements necessary to perform this job are pushing, pulling, and bending.
