We are currently seeking an Engineer/Scientist for our Materials and Corrosion Engineering Practice in our Menlo Park, CA office. In this role you will work as part of a team to conduct hands-on failure analysis, field inspections, electrochemical and other laboratory testing, as well as work with clients to evaluate corrosion control and integrity management measures. Your long-term goal will be to develop business and bring new clients to the firm.
Youwill be responsible for
- Conducting hands-on failure analysis
- Planning and executing laboratory tests
- Conducting field inspections
- Working with clients to develop, evaluate, and improve their corrosion control and integrity management programs
- Communicating effectively with other engineers, technicians, managers, clients, and administrative staff
- Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering, Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, Electrochemistry, Corrosion or related field
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work within project teams with a strong desire to contribute
- Specialized knowledge of materials characterization techniques (e.g., SEM, FIB, TEM, EDS, XPS, Auger, SIMS, FTIR, acoustic microscopy, X-ray)
