Position: Quality Assurance (QA) Engineer

Job Description

Note:

Onsite;
Menlo Park, CA only, will be involved in lab work so onsite is critical. First 5-6 weeks will be onsite 3 days minimum and then based on performance and training, optional to go remote with only requirement to come onsite maybe 1x a week for lab work.

Degrees & Certifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field required

Must-Have Skills

• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP and network fundamentals.
• Familiarity with common networking technologies and devices (e.g., Switches, Routers, Firewalls, Load Balancers, DNS, and DHCP).
• 3 years of Network Engineering, Linux/Unix, and Python experience.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with Optics & Transceivers.
• Data center engineering knowledge.

Soft Skills

• Strong attention to detail.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Basic ability to work independently.
• Strong time management skills.
• Team player.

Years of Experience

QA Engineer with 5 years of experience in Networking & Automation.

Overview

The candidate should be able to understand and perform optical link-validation and have a network engineering device background. The role provides playbooks, runbooks, wikis, and documentation for support, and the individual will work alongside an engineer.

Role Responsibilities

• Run link-validations across multiple optical modules.
• Perform manual testing of FW upgrade of optics.
• Co-ordinate on lab intakes for perform the optics validation.
