Job Title: Project Controls Specialist – Meta Infrastructure Location: [Menlo Park, CA / Remote / Hybrid]
Reports To: Project Controls Manager / Program Manager About the Role
We are seeking a Project Controls Specialist to support Accenture global infrastructure delivery program
. The role focuses on cost management, schedule control, and project performance tracking for large-scale data center, network, retrofit, and new build projects. This individual will work closely with Meta’s project managers, construction partners, and finance teams to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with business objectives.
- Develop, maintain, and track project budgets, forecasts, and cost performance metrics.
- Support cost estimating, benchmarking, and cash flow analysis for multiple infrastructure projects.
- Manage commitments,
change order reviews
, and invoices in accordance with Meta’s financial controls. - Conduct invoice reviews for inflight new builds to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely approvals.
- Coordinate with procurement and finance teams for budget alignment and reporting.
- Collaborate with scheduling teams to develop and maintain integrated project schedules.
- Monitor progress, identify variances, and analyze critical paths and risks to delivery timelines.
- Support recovery planning and mitigation efforts to maintain schedule integrity.
- Provide retrofit project support
, ensuring seamless coordination between ongoing operations and construction activities. - Track retrofit costs, schedules, and scope changes to ensure alignment with program budgets and standards.
- Partner with engineering and construction teams to integrate retrofit and expansion work into master schedules and forecasts.
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports summarizing project performance, earned value, and KPIs.
- Generate dashboards for leadership visibility using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or internal systems.
- Present actionable insights and recommendations for decision-making.
- Ensure adherence to Meta’s project management and controls standards.
- Assist in audits,
change order documentation reviews
, process reviews, and lessons-learned sessions. - Contribute to continuous improvement of cost, schedule, and invoice control procedures.
- Work closely with engineering, construction, procurement, and finance partners.
- Support alignment between Meta’s internal stakeholders and external vendors.
- Participate in program-level coordination and portfolio reviews.
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Finance, or related field.
- 5+ years of experience in project controls, cost engineering, or scheduling in infrastructure or construction projects.
- Proficiency in project controls software such as Primavera P6, MS Project, CostOS, or Eco Sys
. - Strong analytical and Excel/Power BI skills.
- Experience supporting large-scale data center, retrofit, or new build infrastructure programs
.
Preferred:
- Experience working with or for Meta (Facebook), hyperscale data center programs, or other tech infrastructure clients.
- Understanding of design–build, EPC, and construction management delivery models.
- Certification such as PMP, CCP (AACE), or PSP (AACE) is a plus.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Proactive, solutions-oriented mindset.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, matrixed, global environment.
