HW development and the validation of Element Energy’s Advanced Battery Management products.
Location / Travel- Element’s Menlo Park Office. Travel to production and/or customer sites will be required as necessary.
- To Staff range dependent on skills and experience.
- BS or MS in Electrical Engineering, or closely related field and 2+ years of closely related experience. Regardless of degree discipline, a solid understanding of Electrical Engineering fundamentals is essential.
- PhD in Electrical Engineering, or closely related field and relevant practical experience.
- Define, validate, and enhance Battery Management System (BMS) for grid storage applications
- Design of Highly Efficient Power Conversion Solutions (DC-DC converter).
- Create and execute test plans to validate designs for functional and performance goals; design and execution of product level testing with a focus on safety, reliability, risk mitigation and FMEA.
- Write requirement documents, application notes, user guides, and datasheets.
Skills:
- BMS design and characterization techniques.
- Experience in DC-DC converters and control loop design.
- Functional safety development processes and life cycles.
- Solid background in analog/digital circuit design, micro‑processors, and serial communication interfaces.
- Knowledge of battery chemistry, characteristics, and performance.
- Experience working with high power and/or high voltage products
