UX Researcher

Overview

Title: UX Researcher

Location: Burlingame, Seattle, or NY - this role will hybrid requiring 1-2 office visits a week as needed.

Duration: 6 months

Compensation: $50-80/hr

Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the U.S.

As a UX Researcher
, you will plan, execute, and evangelize user-focused research that contributes to the strategy, product definition, and design of AR/VR technologies. You ll specifically lead strategic and evaluative research focused on first-time user experiences with VR headsets
.

• Collaborate with designers, PMs, and engineers to identify research opportunities and integrate user insights into product development
• Independently and collaboratively conduct consumer-facing, hands-on research
• Manage multiple research studies across various product development phases
• Communicate findings through compelling and creative storytelling
• Deliver insights that both evaluate design solutions and inspire future directions

• Usability testing
• Concept testing
• Benchmarking
• In-depth interviews
• Heuristic evaluations
• Qualitative leaning (Qual-heavy UX Research)
• Strong written/verbal communication and time management
• Ability to deliver strategic narratives and actionable recommendations
• Independent problem-solving and proactive mindset

• Bachelor s degree with minimum 4 years of UX research industry experience
• Experience conducting usability testing, concept testing, benchmarking, and semi-structured interviews
• Proven experience conducting user research to inform the development of software and/or mobile experiences

• Degree in a human behavior-related field (HCI, Psychology, Sociology, Information Science, etc.)
• Experience building mobile experiences and/or working with youth and teens
• Research experience in emerging technologies such as AR/VR/MR
