AI Efficiency Software Engineering Manager

We are the Monetization Capacity, Efficiency and Hardware Co‑Design Organization. We are part of Monetization Infra, responsible for all of Meta Ads Revenue (98% of all Meta Revenue). Our org is specifically formed to address the biggest challenge facing Meta today – the lack of machine resources needed to empower our Ads, ML and AI platforms to unblock new revenue opportunities.

This work is a top priority for the Monetization org and the broader company, with C‑suite level visibility and aggressive funding to address the issue.

We work on ML Inference and Training projects across the Monetization infra services, improving efficiency across next‑generation AI hardware (MTIA, Nvidia, and AMD accelerators). Our work spans model co‑designing, low‑level optimizations, distributed systems, and data infrastructure.

Land massive impact by working on business‑critical Machine Learning Inference and training systems to enable top company and Monetization priorities and accelerate revenue growth for the company.

Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to drive technical innovation and proven experience.

Working on both 0‑1 as well as mission‑critical scaled systems in the Advertising Infrastructure stack.

• Demonstrated experience recruiting and managing technical teams, including performance management and managing engineers.
• 12+ years, or PhD + 8 years, of software engineering work experience, including technical management.
• BS or MS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years managing managers, 5+ years managing technical teams.

• Expertise in large model training and optimization for ads recommendation systems.
• Experienced in launching a new AI accelerator with focus on efficiency improvements at scale.
• Experience in the areas of performance optimizations and reliability.
• Interest in making AI systems more efficient.

213 000 $ US/year to 293 000 $ US/year + bonus + equity + benefits.
