Base pay range
$40.00/hr - $45.00/hr

Facilities Technician I is responsible for general upkeep of buildings and structures, repairs and handyman tasks, construction and renovation projects, and the implementation of preventative maintenance protocols.
The position is primarily Menlo Park based but will require some travel as well.
Skills and Work Requirements:- Experienced in general building procedures and property maintenance protocols
- Familiar with a broad range of building trades, including but not limited to mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire life safety, carpentry, roofing, flooring, and drywall
- Familiar with CMMS used to centralize and streamline all maintenance activities, work order tracking, equipment information and spare parts inventory.
- Ability to safely operate all tools and equipment necessary to perform assigned maintenance and building tasks
- Ability to inspect, address and/or report maintenance and repair issues
- Understanding of worksite safety protocols
- Ability to perform a wide range of manual labor tasks, including but not limited to digging, loading/unloading, furniture moving and cleaning
- Ability to take direction, execute projects as expected, and work alongside team members
Job Requirements:
- 1-3 years employment history in building trades and/or property maintenance, with positive, verified references
- Experience working with building materials and tools
- Working knowledge of building techniques and methods, including installation, construction and maintenance
- Willingness to be trained in all areas in order to develop experience and breadth of knowledge
- Willingness to enforce and comply with safety guidelines at all times
- Solid basic math skills
- Good physical condition, stamina, and dexterity
