AboutThe Role
We're looking for an entrepreneurial data engineer with an interest in agentic AI and at least five years of general engineering experience who wants to make an impact as one of the founding engineers of our new AI‑focused incubator teams. We want to make a difference in the lives of those falling between the cracks of the current healthcare system, and could use all the help we can get exploring how AI can help bridge those gaps.
OfficeLocation
We are a hybrid company based in the Bay Area with offices in both San Francisco and Menlo Park. We care about work‑life balance, and understand that there will be times where flexibility is needed.
Qualifications- Data engineering: at least five years of broad experience
- Deep understanding of scalable data systems, ETL/ELT pipelines, and observability best practices
- Hands‑on with Big Query, Airflow, DBT, or AWS Glue
- Familiarity with varied database types (relational, document, columnar, key‑value, vector, etc.)
- Startup culture: at least one year of experience working at the seed stage, whether as a co‑founder or early engineer. An impatient desire to hack and scrappiness is a virtue!
- Technologies:
Python and JS/TS (join and help us decide!)
- Recruiter screen – 30 minutes
- Hiring manager introduction – 30 minutes
- Technical assessment – 45 minutes
- On‑site interview: systems design + behavioral interview + lunch with the team – 3 hours
