We are seeking an experienced backend engineer to join our Middle Office Core Platform Organization. This team is responsible for providing financial products to our customers across digital channels. As a senior backend engineer, you will drive product development and modernization initiatives, working on systems, services, and components used by millions of customers daily.
Responsibilities- Engage in technical discussions, participate in technical designs, and present ideas through whiteboarding
- Work closely with peers in a fast-paced technical design and development team
- Execute tasks to meet product release goals in a fast-paced delivery mode
- Maintain code quality through best practices, unit testing, and code quality automation
- Design and program modules or components, and features
- Help in designing interfaces and information exchange between modules
- Be an expert in writing code that meets standards and delivers desired functionality
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant professional experience
- Strong knowledge of Object-Oriented Analysis and Design, Software Design Patterns, and coding principles
- Hands-on experience in microservices architecture and development
- Experience in C, C++, Java, Go, and Python
- Experience with databases such as Oracle, MySQL, Sybase, PostgreSQL
- Preferred experience in Service Mesh, Containers, and Kubernetes technologies
- Experience in building cloud-based software leveraging cloud and open source technology
- Experience in agile software development
- Demonstrates clarity of thinking in problem-solving
- Proactively identifies and addresses customer issues
- Shares knowledge and establishes trust with team members
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work well with global teams
- Open to learning new technologies and systems
