As an Orthodontic Assistant, you will be an integral part of creating beautiful smiles for our patients and support our orthodontist during chair‑side procedures. Your responsibilities include preparing patients for treatment, sterilizing instruments, taking digital radiographs, and assisting with laboratory procedures.
Duties (but not limited to)- Prepare patients for orthodontic treatments, such as cleaning teeth, taking X‑Rays, and making impressions.
- Examine patients’ mouths and document irregularities.
- Assist the orthodontist during procedures, including adjusting braces and placing appliances.
- Manage patient records and update charts.
- Educate patients on proper oral hygiene and orthodontic care.
- Sterilize instruments before and after use.
- Follow safety and infection‑control protocols.
- Perform aligner procedures: attachments, adjustments, and scans.
- Complete full‑arch bonding and bonding of fixed retainers.
- Debonding and rebonding brackets.
- Use various digital scanners.
- Make clear retainers.
- Deliver expanders, space maintainers, and Forsus appliances.
- When traveling to another clinic, perform all duties and administrative tasks.
- Participate in marketing events.
- Other tasks as assigned.
- Minimum of 1 year of orthodontic assisting experience.
- Availability on Saturdays.
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Certificate of completion for Orthodontic Assistant courses (preferred).
- Rapid learning ability and strong multitasking skills.
- Professionalism, organization, and strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Travel availability to Hales Corners and Madison.
- Monday – Wednesday: 8:45 am – 5:00 pm
- Thursday & Friday: 6:45 am – 3:00 pm
- Two Saturdays per month
- Location:
N81W15180 Ste. B, Appleton Ave., Menomonee Falls, WI 53051 - Pay Range: $20 – $28 per hour
