Head of Treasury & Cash Management | Hybrid
Competitive, aggressive compensation package + bonus + potential equity
A private equity–backed global marketing services and technology company is seeking a Head of Treasury & Cash Management to build and lead its treasury function. Reporting directly to the CFO, this leader will bring greater visibility and discipline to cash forecasting, liquidity, working capital, and debt management across a global organization.
This is a hands-on opportunity for someone who enjoys building cash models, understanding the operational drivers behind the numbers, and partnering with leadership to improve financial performance.
Key Responsibilities
- Own and refine the rolling 13-week cash flow model, incorporating collections, vendor payments, payroll, debt service, and other operating requirements.
- Lead daily cash positioning and short- and long-term liquidity forecasting across domestic and international operations.
- Analyze forecast-to-actual variances, identify funding needs, and provide actionable recommendations to the CFO.
- Partner with billing, collections, accounts payable, and operating teams to improve working capital and align customer receipts with vendor payment obligations.
- Manage banking relationships, debt facilities, revolver activity, covenant monitoring, and lender reporting.
- Develop a clear view of global cash availability, including cross-border funding needs and opportunities to deploy cash more effectively.
- Strengthen treasury processes, controls, reporting, and automation as the business grows.
- Build and develop the team and cross-functional relationships needed to support a formalized treasury function.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field; CTP, CPA, or MBA preferred.
- Minimum of five years of progressive experience in treasury, cash management, or finance with substantial responsibility for liquidity and cash forecasting.
- Demonstrated experience building and owning 13-week cash flow models.
- Experience in advertising, marketing, media, agency, or comparable services businesses, with an understanding of cash cycles involving significant third-party vendor spending and customer billing.
- Working knowledge of debt facilities, revolvers, banking relationships, and covenant requirements.
- Strong financial modeling skills and the ability to translate operating data into reliable cash forecasts.
- Experience supporting global operations; exposure to private equity–backed environments is a plus.
- Ability to work independently, improve processes, and communicate clearly with executive leadership.
Why Consider This Opportunity?
- Direct reporting relationship to the CFO.
- Opportunity to build and shape a global treasury function.
- High visibility and meaningful influence over liquidity, financing, and working capital decisions.
- An aggressive compensation package, bonus opportunity, and potential equity.
- Hybrid flexibility in Chicago or North Milwaukee.
