Surgical Technologist – Ambulatory Surgery Center
Location: Menomonee Falls, WI – Menomonee Falls Surgery Center Facility (On‑Site)
Employment Type: Full‑time (0.9 FTE, 36 hours / week)
Job SummaryThe Surgical Technologist handles instruments, supplies, and equipment necessary during the surgical procedure. They have an understanding of the procedure being performed and anticipate the needs of the surgeon. The role requires ensuring quality patient care, maintaining a sterile field, and supporting the department in cost containment, efficiency, and quality performance. Additional related duties as needed are performed.
ExperienceMinimum 1 year of work experience as a Surgical Technologist is required. Candidates should be competent in the role and able to independently perform surgical technology tasks. Advanced knowledge and ability to assist surgeons are preferred; ability to first assist is a plus.
EducationHigh School Diploma or equivalent is required. Post‑secondary education, certification, or a diploma is required. Completion of a Surgical Technologist program, Military Operating Room Specialist course, or the Froedtert Health sponsored Apprentice II program is required.
LicensureAmerican Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support for Healthcare Providers (BLS) or an AHA approved equivalent is required within 90 days of hire. Certification as a Surgical Technologist is highly preferred.
