Medical Imaging, Medical Technologist & Lab Technician
Performs MRI studies under the direction of a radiologist and oversight of a senior MRI Technologist. This role interacts with imaging staff, nursing, physicians, patients and visitors. Operates MRI and related equipment; prepares scan room equipment, supplies and medications. Maintains images and archives associated with patient data. This is an on-site position located in Menomonee Falls, WI at Froedtert Men Falls Hospital facility.
Schedule details:
Shift 2; 7/70 schedule:
Mon-Thurs 14:00-23:00, Fri 14:30-22:00, Sat-Sun 06:30-18:30 on A week. Other duties as assigned.
- Performs MRI studies under the direction of a radiologist and oversight of a senior MRI Technologist.
- Interacts with imaging staff, nursing, physicians, patients and visitors.
- Acts as a resource person for MRI technical and other issues, and demonstrates competence according to specific guidelines and prescribed protocols.
- Operates MRI and related equipment; prepares scan room equipment, supplies and medications.
- Maintains images and archives associated with patient data.
- Other duties as assigned.
- Experience:
One to three years of experience is preferred. - Education:
Graduate of an JCERT approved two-year or four-year radiologic technology, nuclear medicine program, or MRI program is required. A two- or four-year college degree in radiologic technology, healthcare, business or other related degree is preferred. - Training:
Successful completion of a cross-sectional anatomy class is required. - Special skills:
Ability and demonstrated competence in IV insertion and contrast injection; ability to assimilate new procedures into work routine is required. - Licensure: ARRT registered is required. Advanced certification through ARRT in MR is required within 18 months of hire. BCLS certified within 90 days of hire date. State of WI license in Radiologic Technology if incumbent performs CT, general radiography or any other imaging using ionizing radiation; if practice is limited to MRI and/or Ultrasound, no state license is required.
