Job SummaryThe Specialist - IT System Architect for Digital Manufacturing will primarily design and implement Digital Twin solutions using 3DX software. The role defines and articulates a cohesive architectural vision for inventory management capabilities within Digital Twin 3DX, works closely with cross‑functional teams to identify challenges, provides data to support decisions, and ensures effective implementation of 3DX processes. The System Architect collaborates with Enterprise and Solution Architects to deliver solutions aligned to broader architecture guardrails.
Responsibilities- Participate in design workshops to gather and understand client requirements; create functional and technical specifications.
- Lead the design and development of comprehensive system architectures encompassing hardware, software, networking, security, and cloud components.
- Ensure architecture is scalable, modular, and adaptable to future business needs and technological advancements.
- Oversee implementation choices and manage the realization of solutions, ensuring alignment with client needs and 3DX system operation standards.
- Secure and manage integration phases, integrating Digital Twin with ERP, SAP, PLM, and plant control tools such as DCS, SCADA, OPC, PLC and Historian.
- Document all activities and organize acceptance phases.
- Maintain direct contact with clients throughout workshops and the project lifecycle.
- Provide architectural leadership, assist delivery teams in producing optimal solutions, and ensure stakeholder alignment.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with marketing, IT, and customer service departments to ensure successful implementation of all processes.
- Work closely with project managers to manage the systems team and schedule assignments.
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of five (5) years in manufacturing domains.
- Minimum of three (3) years of experience in Digital Twin manufacturing solutions and development; proven track record of shipping high‑quality products.
- Eligible to work in the U.S. without company sponsorship all future; U.S. person as defined by export regulations.
- Location:
Must reside within a 50‑mile radius of Beachwood, OH;
Moon TWP, PA;
Galesburg, MI;
Raleigh, NC;
Menomonee Falls, WI; or Houston, TX. Active‑duty military exempt.
- Technical skills: .NET, Java, C#, ASP.NET, SQL Server/Oracle or comparable software.
- Experience with 3DX modules such as factory flow simulation, robot simulation, and operations.
- Proven experience designing and developing system architectures for large‑scale enterprise environments.
- Strong understanding of hardware, software, networking, security, and cloud components.
- Experience with data integration, data modeling, and data design.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to work collaboratively with business and technical teams.
- Expert level understanding of Dev Sec Ops , CI, CD, code automation, microservices, containers, and cloud services.
- Advanced experience with Agile, Scrum, or Kanban.
