Position: New Hire Trainer

Location: Menomonee Falls Branch

As a member of our Training department, the New Hire Trainer will be responsible for assisting newly hired Technicians on the completion of all new hire tasks and responsibilities within our Southern Market. Additionally, this role will ensure the onboarding process is smooth for Technicians. This position requires travel up to sixty percent (60%); it may be more s is a full‑time Exempt position reporting to our Training Manager.

• Assist new Technicians during the onboarding process so they have the resources needed to be successful on the job (e.g., service van inventory, shop stalls, First Aid kit locations).
• Educate new Technicians on the standard operating procedures (SOP) and the work order lifecycle.
• Ensure new Technicians are informed of all company policies within the Employee Handbook, including Attendance and Punctuality, Paid Time Off, Professional Dress and Appearance, and Code of Conduct.
• Promote and educate Fairchild safety policies and procedures such as Near‑Miss / Accident Reporting.
• Serve as a resource to new Technicians throughout their onboarding and first 90 days; be a reliable contact for questions, concerns, and support.
• Follow up with each new hire periodically during their first 90 days to ensure they feel safe and understand company policies and procedures.
• Ensure completion of all mandatory safety and IT trainings for compliance with customers and vendors.
• Select or develop New Hire teaching aids such as training handbooks, demonstration models, computer tutorials, and reference works with approval of the Training Manager.
• Conduct annual Operations & Maintenance (O&M) training for existing technicians.
• Conduct training sessions covering specified areas such as New Hire Training.
• Perform annual chain inspections.
• Work with management, supervisors, and employees to identify and solve training needs.
• Assist with safety concerns and proper task execution.
• Suggest improvements to work procedures.
• Willingness to take on additional duties as assigned by the Training Manager.

• Valid insurable driver’s license.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects efficiently and timely.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Computer literacy in technical software applications.
• Adaptability to a fast‑paced environment.
• Ability to work under pressure, shift priorities, and exercise good business judgment.
• Availability for overtime and flexibility to meet position needs.

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
• 5+ years of forklift industry experience.
• 2+ years of training or supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of forklift/heavy equipment industry.
• Travel up to sixty percent (60%).
