Industrial Mechanic - 2nd or 3rd Shift; Bindery

The Industrial Mechanic working in the Bindery is critical to ensuring that production runs smoothly. With a wide range of tools at your disposal, you will be responsible for upgrading, maintaining, and installing equipment to make sure that Arandell continues running for the next 100 years.

• Manufactures production parts and upgrades equipment modifications.
• Monitors and maintains proper parts inventory.
• Maintains preventative maintenance schedule with proper documentation.
• Cleans, lubricates, and adjusts parts, equipment, or machinery.
• Cuts and welds material to repair broken parts, fabricate/machine new parts, or assemble new equipment.
• Documents repairs and maintenance performed.
• Repairs or maintains the operating condition of industrial production or processing machinery or equipment.
• Reads and interprets manufacturers' manuals to determine the correct installation or operation of machinery.
• Follows all plant and OSHA procedures, performs all duties safely and in accordance with all work and safety rules, and established work and industry practices.

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Availability to work assigned shift schedule.
• Previous experience with machine tooling, welding, pneumatics, hydraulics, pipe installation, chiller plants, and waste systems.
• Industrial maintenance experience in a high-speed plant production environment.
• Ability to weld, braze, and cut with:
  Plasma Cutter, MIG, TIG, Stick, or Oxygen/Act Torch.
• Experience using precision measuring equipment (scales, micrometers, and indicators).
• Troubleshoot pneumatics and hydraulics with the ability to read/understand schematics.
• Previous experience with installation of copper, black pipe, PVC, or groove lock piping.
• Prior print industry experience is great but not required.

The employee works in a production environment. Additionally, the incumbent will work near moving mechanical parts and in high places. He/she will be exposed to fumes or airborne particles. There is frequent noise in the work environment.
