Under the supervision of the RN Unit Manager or DON, an LPN performs as a licensed caregiver, responsible for assigned residents/patients during a shift. Care is provided through coordination, implementation, and evaluation of the resident’s/patient’s plan of care. The LPN adheres to standards of care, manages the environment to ensure safety, supervises nursing assistants, and follows all policies and procedures as per the State Nurse Practice Act.

Required Education and Experience
  • Licensed in the State as an LPN
  • Current CPR certification
  • Ability to use supplies and equipment (feeding pumps, oxygen, treatment trays, medication cart, etc.)
  • Ability to calculate drug dosages
  • Meet all health requirements imposed by law
  • Positive, effective communication with residents, families, staff, and community members
  • Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English
  • Basic computer skills with an aptitude to learn company applications
