We're seeking a detail-oriented Traffic Planner to join our team and become a key player in our shipping and logistics operations. In this vital on‑site role, you will be the backbone of our load planning process, responsible for processing shipping instructions and bills of lading for all shipments. You’ll work closely with account managers to ensure every product is counted accurately and delivered on time, supporting our commitment to excellent customer service.
Salary: $55,000 to $63,000 based on experience.
Responsibilities- Prepares shipping documentation, mail bills and bills of lading including maintaining job folders and tickler files.
- Performs load planning for both mail and non-mail shipments developing daily and weekly shipping schedules.
- Work closely with Scheduling and Clients Services regarding job/product finish dates to product releases, in home dates, transit times and postage requirement/due dates.
- Provide end to end shipment execution from origin to destinations; negotiating rating systems, ordering of equipment/trucking, sending out shipment notifications and dispatching.
- Using transportation tracking systems, updating shipment delivery status and providing exception alerts.
- Orders all necessary transportation for daily outbound shipments per routings furnished.
- Communicates job status to Account Managers and tracks shipments per their request.
- Responsible for following up on assigned daily shipping activities.
- Must be knowledgeable in the duties of the Shipping Receptionist position and assist in those duties when applicable.
- Inform Shipping Supervisor of job completion.
- Backup for entering shipping information into applicable computer programs and distributing reports and/or summaries.
- Performs all duties safely and in accordance with all safety rules and requirements.
- Maintains a high level of confidentiality on all matters involving Arandell.
- Maintains positive customer relations approach towards visitors, customers and employees.
- Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- College level supply chain & logistics coursework preferred.
- Two (2) years traffic, transportation or shipping experience.
- PC/Word processing, Spreadsheets, Excel.
- Customer Service and people skills.
- Frequent sitting.
- Frequent use of hands to type, finger, handle, grasp or touch objects and tools.
- Frequently required to talk or listen.
- Occasional standing, walking, climbing, kneeling, squatting, stooping, crouching, crawling, twisting, bending, reaching.
- Occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and the ability to adjust focus.
