Project Manager – General Contractor - Cleveland, OH (Mentor, OH)

Cleveland Construction Inc. is seeking an experienced Project Manager. The successful candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in managing the entire scope of a construction project, from handoff through the closeout phase. A Project Manager may oversee multiple construction projects simultaneously, charting out project objectives and plans, setting performance requirements. Project types include adaptive reuse, retail, hotel/hospitality, and/or multi-family.

  • Excellent computer skills including MS Office, Project, Procore, Bluebeam, Timberline, and/or On Screen Take‑Off
  • Thorough knowledge of construction site safety and OSHA regulations
  • Capacity to motivate, lead, and boost team morale
  • Effective time management and logical decision‑making ability
  • Strong focus on quality and attention to detail
  • Excellent verbal and written communication
  • Client relationship management
  • Key role in project planning, budgeting, and identifying resources needed
  • Co‑ordinate efforts of architects, consultants, contractors, sub‑contractors
  • Monitor construction progress and hold regular status meetings with sub‑contractors
  • Maintain strict adherence to budgetary guidelines, quality and safety standards
  • Ensure project documents are completed accurately and timely
  • Develop effective communication and conflict resolution mechanisms among participants
  • Responsible for schedule, RFIs, submittals, change orders, monthly billing and WIP schedules
  • Project accounting: manage budget, track, minimize exposure and risk
  • Ensure construction activities move according to predetermined schedule
  • Devise project work plans and revise as needed
  • Identify design and construction elements that may lead to disputes and claims
Qualifications
  • A four‑year Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial construction projects
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Good understanding of MEP building systems
  • Thorough knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety standards
  • Excellent computer skills;
    Microsoft Office, Excel, Project, Citrix
  • Capacity to work well under pressure and predetermined schedules
  • Willingness to travel extensively across construction sites
  • Strong focus on quality and attention to detail
Physical Demands / Working Conditions
  • Reliable transportation to and from the project
  • Ability to work in all elements of the outdoor environment: heat, cold, rain, snow, wind, etc.
  • Ability to access all areas of the jobsite: stairs, scaffolding, ladders, elevation changes, etc.
  • Capable of working in physical positions that may include kneeling, sitting, standing, squatting, bending over, etc.
  • Must be able to move, carry, or position items weighing up to 25 lbs.
