Expanded Functions Dental Auxiliary – Responsibilities- Assist dentists during various procedures, including restorations, prosthodontics, endodontics, and pediatric dentistry, utilizing four-handed dentistry techniques.
- Perform expanded functions such as coronal polishing, placement of temporary and permanent restorations, crown and bridge temporization, CEREC design of ceramic restorations, and other delegated clinical tasks within scope of practice.
- Take and develop dental X-rays, including 3D scans, ensuring proper technique and patient safety.
- Manage patient records accurately within electronic medical record (EMR) systems such as Open Dental, maintaining HIPAA compliance at all times.
- Monitor vital signs and medical documentation for patients with special needs or medical conditions to ensure safety during treatment.
- Maintain aseptic techniques and infection control protocols in accordance with OSHA standards.
- Support administrative duties such as scheduling appointments and assisting the dental receptionist as needed to optimize workflow.
- Valid certification as an Expanded Functions Dental Auxiliary with experience in general dentistry and pediatric dentistry.
- Proficiency in dental assisting procedures including chairside assisting, medical imaging, and taking vital signs.
- Familiarity with EMR systems like Eaglesoft or Dentrix, along with experience using similar platforms for medical documentation.
- Knowledge of dental terminology, anatomy, infection control practices, and HIPAA regulations.
- Experience working with diverse patient populations, including pediatrics and patients requiring prosthodontics or endodontic treatments.
- Strong understanding of dental radiography techniques, including X-ray safety protocols and 3D scanner operation.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team dedicated to delivering high-quality care.

Compensation & Work HoursPay: $32.00 – $40.00 per hour. Expected hours: 24.0 – 36.0 per week.
