We invite you to explore our opportunities and grow your career with us. The Manufacturing Engineer Technician II develops, installs, maintains, and optimizes complex automated manufacturing systems. This role combines advanced mechanical, electrical, and programming expertise to ensure system reliability, efficiency, and scalability. Responsibilities include leading process improvements, mentoring junior technicians, and collaborating with engineering teams to support new system implementations and upgrades.

Responsibilities
  • Lead installation, calibration, and maintenance of automated systems including robotics, sensors, and control components.
  • Design, develop, and improve tooling, fixtures, control systems, and equipment layouts.
  • Troubleshoot complex mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic system issues, implementing effective long-term corrective actions.
  • Analyze and optimize production processes for efficiency, reliability, and cost reduction.
  • Support production operations by ensuring equipment uptime and maintaining comprehensive service and technical documentation.
  • Modify and optimize PLC and HMI programs to enhance system performance.
  • Conduct root cause analyses, develop and implement corrective/preventive action plans, and ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, and Production) to implement new automation solutions and resolve high-impact technical issues.
  • Lead or participate in Factory and Site Acceptance Tests (FAT/SAT) and develop quality inspection and validation standards for automated systems.
  • Mentor and train technicians and manufacturing personnel on automation systems, troubleshooting, and safety practices.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives including Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, and SMED projects.
  • Utilize statistical tools and OEE data to improve equipment availability, performance, quality, and overall process capability.
  • Perform safety risk assessments and maintain familiarity with safety systems such as relays, light curtains, and interlocks.
  • Interpret and update technical drawings, schematics, and 3D CAD documentation.
  • Manage or oversee automation projects as needed; travel may be required for installations, training, or supplier support.
  • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
  • 5–7 years of experience in a manufacturing or automation environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic systems.
  • Hands‑on experience with industrial automation platforms (e.g., Allen-Bradley, Omron, Siemens) including PLC and HMI programming.
  • Proficient in troubleshooting using diagnostic tools, instrumentation, and precision measurement equipment.
  • Familiarity with robotics (e.g., UR, Fanuc), vision systems (e.g., Keyence, Apera AI), and additive manufacturing (3D printing).
  • Skilled in Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement methodologies (Six Sigma preferred).
  • Experience mentoring and training technical personnel.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude and proficiency with PC, touchscreen, and mobile technology tools.
  • Degree or diploma in Industrial Automation, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related technical field.
