Field Service Engineer

Spang Power Electronics, a division of Spang & Company, has an opening for a Field Service Engineer based at its Mentor, OH facility. Spang Power Electronics is headquartered in Mentor, OH, with sites in Sandy Lake, PA, and Xiamen, China.

We design and manufacture systems and products for industrial control applications all over the world, specializing in SCR Power Controllers, custom Transformers, and AC/DC Power Systems.

• Support field service requirements of products and systems, including installation, service, repair, troubleshooting, test, and start-up.
• Support systems testing during the manufacturing process to include hardware and software design verification according to the test plan.
• Travel requirements will be as high as 50% - 75% which will include international assignments.

Qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology. Course study in power electronics is beneficial. Candidates must possess excellent communication skills.
