- Improve Quality Rating of the weld department by developing the production release strategy on specified components before release into TG2. A production release strategy includes establishing weld limitations using ESM criteria and repair experience, reviewing available or required tooling, modifications of work instructions, and collaborating with other engineers and department managers.
- Drive continuous improvement by finding successful approaches to challenging weld repairs and implementing those as regular shop practices.
- Use root-cause analysis protocols to resolve department errors and operational issues.
- Collaborate with weld technicians, weld shop leadership, and weld process engineers to design improved weld procedures and/or specific weld procedures for custom welding applications.
- Control process parameters to maximize production repeatability and quality control accuracy.
- Generate technical work instructions and comprehensive process documentation for complex weld repairs, including operation sheets and setup guides.
- Analyze Results
- Collaborate with production leadership, operators and technicians on the initial weld plan, and monitor the results of those repair plans as they…
