Position: Peer Family) - FT - Auglaize County

Coleman Health Services is a nationally recognized not-for-profit provider of behavioral health and rehabilitation programs to foster recovery, build independence, and change destinies for individuals, families, and businesses in our community. We are seeking a Family/Parent Peer Support Specialist to provide peer support services in Auglaize County, Ohio
. The Family/Parent Peer Support Specialist provides guidance, hope and support towards recovery through personal experience and growth on a reciprocal basis.
Position pays $19 an hour!

Duties Include:
  • Mentor and assist youth and families through mental health crises and restore calm within the family
  • Assist in identifying resources, supports and services based on youth and family needs
  • Function as part of an interdisciplinary team and develop and maintain effective relationships with community professionals
  • Have a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Certified Family/Parent Peer Support Specialist through the Ohio Department of Mental Health and Addiction Services or willing to obtain this certification (we will assist!)
  • Have lived experience as a parent or caregiver of a child who has been involved with behavioral healthcare services
  • Have and maintain an excellent driving record
  • Must be willing to complete and have favorable results for criminal background check, drug screening, and driving check if selected for the position
