Crossroads Health provides a continuum of quality behavioral health and chemical dependency treatment services to children, adolescents, young adults, adults, and families. As a leader in the behavioral health field, we offer various programs that evaluate, educate, strengthen, and support thousands of clients each year.
We seek an outgoing, friendly, and passionate Youth Counselor to provide individual and family therapy to our clients in Lake County. Responsibilities include assessment and diagnosis, individual, group, and family counseling, parent guidance, information and referral, and other programs to ensure the highest level of care.
Responsibilities:- Perform diagnostic assessments as necessary.
- Develop client-centered ISPs, monitor, and review progress.
- Provide outpatient individual, group, and family therapy to children, adolescents, and families.
- Maintain clinical records within Crossroads' standards.
- Arrange appointments and collateral contacts, and coordinate therapeutic efforts.
- Participate in outcome tracking.
- Provide direct service to clients in emergencies or in the absence of an assigned provider.
- Work evening hours until 9 pm twice a week.
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work or Counseling with 3 years of experience;
Master's preferred. - LSW, LPC, or MFT required; LISW, LPCC, or IMFT preferred.
- Knowledge of counseling techniques, solution-focused, short-term treatment, and DSM 5 diagnoses.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills.
- Ability to work in a team in a fast-paced, high-stress environment.
- Strong crisis management and de-escalation skills.
