Salary range: $80,000 to $90,000 per year + Sign Bonus.
Job Description – General ManagerOur growing full‑service landscaping and snowplowing company located in the greater Akron, Ohio area is looking to hire a General Manager. The General Manager will be responsible for overseeing day‑to‑day operations, managing account managers, and developing strategic plans to ensure continued success and growth of the business. This position will also ensure that overall management and work align with the company’s vision and goals for the future.

- Be diligent with timekeeping for job costing and payroll tracking.
- Experience in marketing facets, strategies, and website updating.
- Lead sales goals and actively sell for lawn care, snow removal, softscape, and hardscape services.
- Identify and execute a strategy for substantially growing commercial and high‑end residential lawn care.
- Oversee daily operations, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget while maintaining high standards.
- Identify, pursue, and strategize on plans to ensure business success and overall growth.
- Manage the performance and development of account managers and staff to encourage growth.
- Develop and implement a long‑term strategy for enhancing growth, profitability, and continuous improvement.
- Mentor and build a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Work with account managers to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- Maintain effective communication with the team, ensuring efficient interactions among managers, account managers, and crews.
- Develop a strong customer focus with internal and external partners.
- Provide candid feedback on customer perceptions to maximize retention.
- Communicate frequently, professionally, and promptly with customers, owners, and coworkers.
- Review and monitor budgets for all customer contracts, addressing overages as needed.
- Apply working knowledge of budgets, financial planning, and reporting to ensure a healthy, sustainable financial future.
- Energetic, self‑starter with an entrepreneurial attitude.
- Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint and ability to learn new programs.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- Guides staff to grow into their roles.
- Exceptional time management and leadership skills.
- Can develop and present effective sales presentations, both written and verbal.
- Leads team with inspiration and consideration.
- Profit‑driven; understands budgets and seeks to cut costs, improve efficiency, and increase margins.

- Bachelor’s degree or associate degree.
- At least 10 years of experience in the lawn care/landscape/snow removal industry in management, sales, senior leadership, account management, and business development.
- 15+ years of experience in the lawn care/landscape/snow removal industry.
