Production Supervisor

Buyers Products company, a leading manufacturer in the work truck industry, is searching for a Production Supervisor that will demonstrate leadership and utilize their skills and experience to solve problems, develop and execute objectives for self and others, and create and implement short-term and long-term processes and procedures.

• Operate as a manufacturing leader demonstrating metric-based management in areas of PQDCCC for daily improvement rhythm (MDI) – people/quality/delivery/cost/cash/CI
• Ensures effective employee relations, coaching, and employee development
• Responsible for driving a culture of safety, accountability, metrics and operational excellence.
• Resolves personnel problems by analyzing data/investigating issues/identifying solutions/and recommending actions
• Recruits, selects, onboards, trains and mentors employees
• Completes production plan by scheduling and assigning personnel, accomplishing work results, establishing priorities, monitoring progress, resolving problems and reporting results on shift production summaries
• Enforces and implements company policies
• Supports Engineering and Quality with improvements to business systems, processes, and products
• Responsible for owning inventory, supplies, and budget for the department
• Maintains workflow by monitoring and upgrading processes, setting process variables, observing control points and equipment, monitoring personnel and resources, studying methods, implementing cost reductions and facilitating communications across cross‑functional teams
• Ensures operation of equipment by calling for repairs and evaluating new equipment and techniques
• Responsible for 6S within your area/business unit

• A minimum of 3 years of operations leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Proficient with Lean Management techniques (C.I., 6S, Kaizen, Poka‑Yoke)
• Ability to gather and employ data to meet organizational goals in a metric‑driven environment

• High School Diploma / GED or equivalent

• Standing, walking and sitting for extended periods of time (up to 2‑3 miles per day)
• Mobility and dexterity to move around operating machinery and powered industrial equipment
• Ability to work on site to physically support manufacturing requirements
