View Machine Operator Details

IHI Connectors is hiring full-time Machine Operators in Mentor, Ohio. First, second, and third shift positions are available.

This is a hands‑on manufacturing job for mechanically minded people who can learn to set up, run, troubleshoot, and maintain high‑speed automated production machines.

Engine, car, diesel truck, motorcycle, farm equipment, heavy equipment, or machinery repair counts. If you can tear it down, diagnose it, and put it back together, you can learn this machine. Military mechanics count too. Wheeled or tracked vehicle, generator, and aircraft maintenance experience is the same hands‑on work: diagnose it, tear it down, fix it, put it back together. Our multispindle machines drill, tap, mark, and saw aluminum parts in seconds.

No prior machine operator experience is required, but mechanical experience with basic tools is required.

• Set up, run, and maintain production machines.
• Troubleshoot mechanical issues and help keep production running.
• Use basic tools, mechanical judgment, and hands‑on problem solving.
• Monitor machines and maintain quality of machined parts per specifications.
• Learn cutting tools, speeds and feeds, hydraulics, electrics, electronics, sensors, and machine setup.

Applicants must score 80% or better on a mechanical aptitude test to be considered. The shorter mechanical aptitude test takes about 20 minutes.

Working hours:

full-time, with 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift available. Some critical work centers may require 48 hours per week. Hours over 40 are paid at 1.5x rate. Second and third shift include a $2.00 per hour shift premium.
