Grow with Alloy Precision Technologies Innovation fuels our momentum. At Alloy Precision Technologies (APT), we blend advanced manufacturing with hands-on craftsmanship and a customer-first mindset. Here, your work powers industry-leading solutions—and your career growth.

Shift & Premium: 2nd Shift, Monday–Thursday, 3:15 PM–1:45 AM. Overtime available on Fridays and Saturdays. A 10% premium is added to your base rate. Pay is based on experience.

A Day in the Life You clock in and head straight to your assigned CNC cells. You’ll stage tools and gauges in anticipation of upcoming jobs, verify that fixtures and settings match the print, and get multiple machines running smoothly. Throughout the shift, you load and unload parts, check surfaces and prep work pieces, make smart offset and cutter-comp adjustments, and perform routine upkeep—filter changes, coolant and fluid checks—to keep throughput high and scrap low.

Quality is your compass. You’ll confirm that each part meets spec, reading blueprints and using the right metrology—calipers, micrometers, height gauges, comparators, and CMMs. On simpler components, you’ll run first-piece approvals. As priorities shift, you stay alert to the schedule, prepare the next tools, and keep accurate time and quantity entries in our ERP.What You’ll Handle Run multiple CNC machines to hit quality, speed, and cost targets in a fast-paced environment.

Verify correct part loading, work holding, and surface prep; confirm tooling, fixtures, and machine settings before and during runs.

Perform routine machine care: change filters, maintain fluid levels, and complete basic maintenance.

Adjust work and tool offsets; apply cutter compensation to achieve print dimensions and finishes.

Inspect parts for conformance using CMMs, calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and comparators.

Perform CMM dimensional checks with a basic understanding of GD&T; apply SPC principles to guide timely machine and tool adjustments.

Conduct first-piece approvals on less complex parts.

Stay ahead of job changes; stage tools and gauges to minimize downtime.

As needed, complete hand deburring, grinding, basic assembly, and welding on uncomplicated products.

Report time and part counts accurately in the ERP system.

What You Bring High school diploma or GED with strong reading, math, problem-solving, and comprehension skills.
12–18 months of prior machining experience.

Proficiency with calipers, micrometers, height gauges, and go/no-go gauges.

Ability to read and interpret simple blueprints.

Pay commensurate with experience.

Physical & Additional Requirements Excellent hand–eye coordination.

Comfort bending, lifting, and moving between workstations; alternating sitting and standing.

Lift up to 25 pounds throughout the shift.

Overtime availability as needed.

Ability to read fine print and distinguish colors.

Reach machine controls positioned up to five feet above the floor.

Wear proper personal protective equipment at all times.

At APT, our priorities are clear: safety, quality, productivity, and cost-effectiveness. If that’s how you work, you’ll thrive here.
