About the Director of Nursing Position

As Director of Nursing at Brookdale, you will inspire, lead, and manage the overall operation of the clinical team to provide the highest quality of care for our residents. You will proactively build relationships with residents, families, physicians, and other health‑care providers to coordinate personalized care, collaborate with community leadership, mentor associates, and build resident and family satisfaction.

Qualifications & Skills

• Education sufficient to obtain an LPN/LVN or RN state nursing license
• Driver’s license
• Minimum of 3 years relevant experience; clinical leadership experience preferred
• Strong working knowledge of technology, Microsoft Office, and electronic documentation

Base pay will be determined by applicant’s skills and experience. Full‑time associates are eligible for an annual bonus incentive and sales referral bonuses. Temporary associates are not benefits eligible but may participate in the company’s 401(k) program.

Veterans, transitioning active‑duty military personnel, and military spouses are encouraged to apply. Brookdale offers to advance fees for naturalization (Form N‑400) up to $725 for qualified associates who have worked at least one year.

Responsibilities

Manages day‑to‑day clinical services in a complex community to meet residents’ health‑care needs, ensuring residents are treated with respect and dignity. Provides leadership and coaching to licensed nurses and direct‑care staff and may lead an additional clinical leadership team of up to five members. Determines HWD level for each community based on total complexity, including size, product lines, medication management regulations, 90‑day assessment requirements, licensure requirements, state regulatory complexity, and skilled services requiring an RN.
