Essential Duties Leadership and Management- Directly supervise activities of 2+ full-time employees, including Assistant Manager(s), Lead Representative(s), and Customer Service Representative(s).
- Recruit, hire, and train positive, enthusiastic employees to ensure excellent customer service.
- Develop, manage, and assign tasks to keep the store clean, stocked, organized, and well‑kept per company standards.
- Maintain a professional and supportive image among subordinates and supervisors.
- Schedule employees within company guidelines to maximize customer service and maintain store image.
- Implement non‑discriminatory management practices while hiring, training, counseling, mentoring, motivating, and separating employees.
- Develop positive and professional relationships with all suppliers.
- Promote excellent service and resolve customer complaints in a timely, professional manner.
- Provide regular and predictable onsite attendance.
- Promote and ensure a safe, positive public image within the neighboring community.
- Prepare ongoing and timely performance appraisals in Workday for all employees, including 30‑, 60‑, 90‑, 12‑month, and anniversary check‑ins.
- Train all employees to meet company standards for customer service, store image, and marketing execution.
- Train all employees on safety procedures and promote safety awareness.
- Mentor and train employees on cash awareness and expectations to reduce risk to the company/BU.
- Ensure employees complete all required training in a timely manner.
- Develop methods to ensure all employees receive proper communication in a timely manner.
- Establish periodic ongoing communication meetings with all store employees and the District Manager.
- Evaluate and develop specific action plans to address store needs and reach desired objectives.
- Organize and maintain all store files and manuals.
- Manage and supervise store employees to ensure all required and requested reports are completed accurately and on time.
- Ensure merchandise is stocked, attractively displayed, and priced correctly.
- Ensure all required employment‑related posters and signs are accessible to all employees.
- Analyze daily sales and expense information and take appropriate action to maximize sales and net profits.
- Budget and forecast P&L lines, and manage merchandise margins.
- Safeguard and account for all money received and disbursed.
- Perform other financial analysis necessary to maximize sales and net profits.
- Notify District Manager of any sales, cash, inventory, or operating discrepancies.
- High school diploma or equivalent plus 1–2 years of retail work experience, or equivalent combination of education, training, and work experience.
- Ability to supervise and train for the use of equipment, tools, and materials listed in the CSR, LSR, and SA job descriptions.
- Ability to supervise and manage functions listed in the CSR, LSR, and SA job descriptions.
- Ability to use a computer and acquire necessary computer skills for store operations (reports, inventory control, cash control, employment forms, etc.).
- A valid driver’s license and dependable transportation.
- Open availability.
- Oral and written communication in English.
- Ability to perform essential duties and physical functions described above.
- Ability to work in the conditions described below.
- Ability to operate a motor vehicle.
- Ability to sit for long periods of time.
- Food Server certificate (e.g., Serv Safe) and Food Safety Management certification may be required.
- Ability to work a minimum of 50 hours per week.
- Ability to be exposed to cold or warm temperature extremes while working occasionally in walk‑in cooler/freezer and outdoors.
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or carry up to 30 pounds from ground to overhead.
- Ability to occasionally lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds from ground to waist.
- Ability to grasp, reach, and manipulate objects with hands for entire shift.
- Ability to push/pull with arms up to a force of 20 pounds.
