Guest Advocate (Cashier), General Merchandise, Fulfillment, Food and Beverage, Style (T2322) is a part-time On-Demand role king on demand means the schedule may vary and is not posted on the weekly schedule. You can create your own schedule by picking up shifts through the myTime app. Attendance and responsiveness to shift requests are essential. As an On-Demand Team Member, you may be offered a short-term structured training and must attend Target Welcome orientation.

The Starting Hourly Rate is $15.50 USD per hour. The Pay Range is $15.50 USD - $23.25 USD per hour.
All About Target and On-DemandWorking at Target means helping all families discover the joy of everyday life. Values and culture define the experience. On-Demand Team Members are not included on the posted weekly schedule but can pick up shifts via the myTime app. You must respond to contact attempts and work at least one shift within five months or your employment may be terminated. You may be administratively terminated if you do not work a shift within five months.
Communication and availability to work when business needs are critical are key to success in this role.
All About Service & Engagement:
Guest Advocates welcome, thank, and exceed guest service expectations, focusing on guest interaction, loyalty enrollment and store cleanliness. You will be knowledgeable about store capabilities, drive adoption of services, and help guests with check lanes, guest services, gift registry, pick-up and drive-up services while ensuring quality.
What the Role Can Provide You With: the skills and experience of communicating with guests, problem solving, adapting to different interactions, and promoting store benefits and services.
Responsibilities- Demonstrate a service culture by delivering the service standard and creating a welcoming guest experience.
- Greet guests and assist with daily tasks; engage with guests to solve their needs.
- Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services to resolve issues and improve guest experience.
- Scan and bag items efficiently and in compliance with food safety standards and company practices.
- Minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy.
- Inform guests about current and upcoming brand launches, store activities and events.
- Promote Target Loyalty programs and assist with enrollment; be familiar with all fulfillment services and how to enroll or use them.
- Show guests how to use Wallet and Target App features.
- Handle returns following register prompts and escalate to leaders as needed while following policies.
- De-escalate situations and recover the guest shopping experience per policies.
- Deliver easy and accurate service for Order Pick Up, Drive Up, and Registry guests.
- Maintain a clean, clutter-free work area and stock supplies during store hours.
- Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety, and compliance; work safely and report hazards.
- Support guest services like order pick up, Drive-Up orders, and Drive-Up returns, maintaining compliance with applicable laws.
- Support cash office processes as needed, including cash systems management.
- All other duties based on business needs.

- You are open to flexible schedules, including nights, weekends, holidays, and peak shopping times.

- Accurate cash handling and, when needed, support for cash office operations.
- Ability to scan, handle and move merchandise safely, including lifting up to 10 pounds frequently and up to 44 pounds occasionally.
- Flexibility to pick up shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Ability to work in varying temperatures and environments (Drive-Up, carryout, etc.).
- Ability to remain mobile for the duration of a shift.
