Driver/Maintenance Assistant (Healthcare)
Assists residents with loading and unloading from facility approved vehicles. Ensures the safe transportation of residents to scheduled medical appointments or other approved activities, resident outings, etc. Maintains the interior and exterior of facility vehicles to promote safe and comfortable transport for the residents and project a positive image in the community. Monitors vehicle maintenance logs and delivers vehicle for regularly scheduled maintenance such as oil changes, tire rotations, etc.
All other duties as assigned. Must be flexible with work time (in the event a resident appointment or activity runs late).
- Assist residents with loading and unloading from facility-approved vehicles.
- Transport residents to scheduled medical appointments or other approved activities and outings.
- Maintain the interior and exterior of facility vehicles to promote safety and a positive community image.
- Monitor vehicle maintenance logs and arrange for regularly scheduled maintenance (e.g., oil changes, tire rotations).
- Perform all other duties as assigned.
- Education and/or
Experience:
Minimum of a High School Diploma or GED. Must be ≥ 25 years old. - License:
Valid driver’s license; familiar with GPS and local driving area. - Driving Record:
No traffic crimes in the last 7 years; DUI, DWS, Reckless Driving, or traffic felonies not allowed. Not more than 2 moving violations in 3 years and not more than one accident in 3 years. - Screening:
Pass a drug screen and background check. - Language:
Ability to read, write and understand job-related instructions and manuals; ability to present information and respond to questions from managers, coworkers, and residents. - Mathematical and Reasoning:
Ability to apply fractions, percentages, ratios, proportions; solve practical problems; interpret varied instructions. - Certificates/Registrations:
Proficient in Microsoft Suite; CNA training and maintenance of CE to maintain certification.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. The duties require regular sitting, standing, walking, talking, reading or hearing.
