Licensed; CTRS) Recreational Therapist

Dreamer Wellness Center is looking for a creative, compassionate, and energetic Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist (CTRS)

We are a unique, farm-based mental health practice that believes therapy doesn't always have to happen within four walls. Our team uses experiential, recreational, and creative approaches to help children, teens, and adults build confidence, connection, emotional regulation, communication skills, independence, and overall well-being.

We are seeking a CTRS who is excited to use recreation, movement, nature, and meaningful activities as part of the therapeutic process. Depending on experience and client needs, sessions may be provided individually or in group settings and may incorporate outdoor recreation, games, movement, creative activities, nature-based experiences, leisure exploration, social skill development, and other experiential interventions.

Our farm environment provides a unique opportunity to think beyond traditional recreational therapy and incorporate the outdoors, changing seasons, natural surroundings, and hands-on experiences into treatment.

This position is a great fit for someone who enjoys thinking outside the box and wants the freedom to use their skills creatively while still providing purposeful, client-centered services.

• Holds a current CTRS credential.
• Is passionate about working with children, teens, and/or adults.
• Is comfortable working with clients with a variety of emotional, behavioral, developmental, and social needs.
• Can independently plan and facilitate engaging therapeutic recreation sessions.
• Understands how recreation and meaningful activity can support emotional regulation, confidence, social skills, independence, communication, and overall wellness.
• Is comfortable adapting activities to meet different abilities, needs, and treatment goals.
• Is dependable, organized, flexible, and communicative.
• Enjoys collaborating with therapists and other members of a multidisciplinary team.
• Is comfortable working in a farm-based environment where animals, nature, outdoor activities, and a little dirt are part of the experience!
• Brings creativity, warmth, patience, and a genuine desire to connect with clients.

This isn't your typical clinical setting. Our farm provides opportunities for clients to explore, move, create, problem-solve, connect, and grow through meaningful real-world experiences.
