Senior ERP Specialist

Job Summary
The Senior ERP Specialist plays a critical role in the technical administration and enhancement of ERP applications across multiple modules and integrations. This position is essential for ensuring that the ERP environment operates efficiently, meets quality standards, and aligns with business objectives. The specialist will drive continuous improvements and optimizations while effectively managing software updates and troubleshooting complex issues.

Key Responsibilities

Manage the overall ERP environment, including configurations, and integrations in modules such as finance, supply chain, and manufacturing, ensuring optimal performance and compliance with best practices.

Monitor and assess new software releases, support packs, and kernel upgrades for their impact on application performance and user experience, implementing necessary adjustments to maintain system integrity.

Identify and implement opportunities for improvement and optimization within the ERP system by analyzing business processes and aligning enhancements with organizational goals.

Perform advanced troubleshooting for complex technical issues at both the ERP and database levels, utilizing tools such as SQL and system logs to diagnose and resolve problems efficiently.

Stay updated on emerging ERP technology trends and best practices, transferring knowledge to team members through workshops and documentation to enhance team capabilities.

Skill Requirements

Expert level proficiency in ERP data management, with a strong understanding of ERP architecture and multi-module integration.

Excellent troubleshooting skills, with in-depth knowledge of SQL databases and performance tuning.

Strong analytical skills to identify optimization opportunities within ERP systems.

Familiarity with software release management and the implications of updates on existing configurations.

Certification
Optional but valuable certifications: SAP Certified Technology Associate, Oracle ERP Cloud Certification, or Microsoft Dynamics 365 Certification.

Key Responsibilities in a Salesforce Data Cloud Role

Data Source Integration:
Connect and extract data from various systems like CRM, ERP, marketing automation platforms, and external data sources.

Data Mapping and Transformation:
Map data fields from different sources to a unified schema, performing necessary data cleansing and normalization.

Data Modeling:
Design data models within the Data Cloud to create a comprehensive customer view, including relationships between different data entities.

Data Quality Management:
Implement data quality checks and validation rules to ensure data accuracy and consistency.

Data Governance:
Define and enforce data access controls, data retention policies, and data usage guidelines.

Solution Design:
Collaborate with business users to understand their data needs and design customized Data Cloud solutions.

Implementation and Deployment:
Build and deploy Data Cloud solutions, including data pipelines, data flows, and data transformations.

User Training and Support:
Provide training and support to end users on how to access and utilize data within the Data Cloud.

Skills Needed for Salesforce Data Cloud Jobs

Strong understanding of data integration principles and technologies.

Expertise in data modeling and database design.

Proficiency in data cleansing and quality techniques.

Knowledge of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes.

Experience with Salesforce platform and APIs.

Programming skills (e.g., SQL, Python).

Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.

Experience with Azure is also a nice to have.
