We’re hiring a Master Scheduler / Production Planner – Machining Operations to manage the machining production schedule for both Hayes and ACI. In this role, you’ll coordinate demand, capacity, and material flow to ensure on-time delivery and efficient production. You’ll work closely with machining and assembly teams to align priorities, solve scheduling constraints, and keep operations running smoothly.
What You’ll Do:- Manage the master production schedule for machining operations, ensuring demand, capacity, and materials are balanced for on-time delivery.
- Plan, load, and sequence machining jobs in Syteline to meet internal and external customer requirements.
- Maintain accurate planning data in Syteline, including routings, lead times, and work center capacities.
- Partner with Value Stream Managers, Engineering, Supply Chain, Production Leads, Supervisors, and the Assembly Scheduler to resolve constraints and align production flow.
- Lead weekly scheduling and capacity review meetings, communicating priorities and addressing roadblocks.
- Analyze forecasts, production variances, and capacity bottlenecks; develop and recommend corrective actions.
- Drive improvements in scheduling accuracy, setup/changeover efficiency, and lead time performance.
- Maintain rolling 12-week capacity and demand models for leadership and operations visibility.
- Ensure ERP data accuracy for job routings, labor reporting, and material transactions.
- Prepare and publish KPI reports, including on-time delivery, schedule attainment, and capacity utilization.
- 5+ years of production planning or scheduling experience in machining, metal components, or job-shop manufacturing.
- Advanced ERP proficiency;
Syteline (Infor Cloud Suite Industrial) strongly preferred. - Strong understanding of job scheduling, routings, capacity management, CNC machining processes, and MRP/APS functions.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make informed decisions.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments and levels.
- Proven success working with production leads and supervisors to drive daily execution.
- Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methods.
- Customer-focused mindset with an understanding of just-in-time delivery expectations.
- Ability to excel in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
- Bonus: APICS CPIM/CSCP certification, Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain/Operations/Manufacturing, Lean Six Sigma Green Belt.
