Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Med/Surg night shift position requiring telemetry background and Epic EMR proficiency.

• Work in a hospital Med/Surg unit (Nursing Unit 001)
• Patient population includes adults with medical and surgical needs
• Requires telemetry monitoring experience and ability to read telemetry
• Shifts are 7:00 PM to 7:30 AM
• Every other weekend and every other holiday coverage required
• Potential floating within skill set onsite or to locations within 40 miles
• Uses Epic EMR system and experience with it is required
• Responsible for providing safe, effective nursing care to adult med/surg patients, including those requiring telemetry monitoring
• Float assignments may occur based on facility need within skill set or to other locations within a 40-mile radius
• No artificial or acrylic nails allowed and nails must be short (less than 1/4 inch)
• COVID vaccination is no longer required
• Local candidates are accepted but are subject to a reduced rate per facility radius rules
• Every other weekend and every other holiday work is required
• Travelers should discuss potential extension 45 days prior to assignment end date

• Active WI or compact RN license required
• American Heart Association BLS certification required
• At least 2 years of Med/Surg nursing experience
• Telemetry background and competency required
• NIH certification required, with updates as specified by group
• Must have or obtain Nursys license verification and primary source verification within 30 days prior to start
• Must provide a US Social Security Number and US home address
• Copy of Driver’s License required
• Two professional references required
