Salary range: A reasonable estimate for an initial appointment is $68,247. See Unit 18 Lecturer table for the salary range for this position. The School of Social Sciences, Humanities and Arts seeks a lecturer(s) to teach courses in Anthropology for the Academic Year 2025-26. Courses being offered may include but not limited to:
Globalization
Topics in Socio-Cultural
In addition to teaching the course(s), the instructor is responsible for creating a syllabus, holding weekly office hours (2 hours/week), and grading examinations and/or papers. The instructor may also be required to hold discussion and lab sections or supervise a graduate student teaching assistant.
This is a limited-term appointment which falls under the purview of the agreement for the Lecturers Unit between University of California and the American Federation of Teachers. Full time and part time positions available. Three courses in Fall and three courses in Spring are equivalent to full time position. Part time varies based on need and availability.

Basic qualifications
Advanced degree and experience teaching at the college or university level are required. Must be able to provide a record of excellence in teaching.

Statement of Teaching - A teaching statement of no more than 500 words explaining how you have approached or would approach teaching the courses that you wish to teach. Please also indicate subject area of interest regarding teaching.
