Hiring Range

The University of California, Merced is required to provide a reasonable estimate of the compensation range for this role. This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure, certifications, and other business and organizational needs. It is not typical for an individual to be offered a salary at or near the top of the range for a position.

Salary offers are determined based on final candidate qualifications and experience. The full salary range for this position is STEP 1: $29.03 – STEP 18: $42.34. The salary or hourly range the University reasonably expects to pay for this position is STEP 1: $29.03.

Job Closing Date

About The Job

Working under the direction of the Assistant Director of Staffing, Training & Development and Administration staff, the Auxiliaries Employment Coordinator will develop and coordinate the recruitment efforts and strategies for the division of Auxiliaries Enterprise and Fiscal Innovation. The coordinator will work with hiring managers within the AFI portfolio to conduct recruitment for professional staff. The incumbent will assist with recruitment, hiring, and onboarding aspects for both career and student staff.

The coordinator and student administration staff will represent AFI by attending career fairs, tabling internal and external events, and developing marketing tools to support recruitment efforts for the AFI portfolio.

Key Responsibilities Staff Recruitment Support
  • Manages and administers all aspects of the staff recruitment processes including but not limited to, the following functions: finance, facilities, payroll, space planning, student services, human resources, communications, informational technology or safety. Participates in the development and revision of standard operating procedures and guidelines. Assesses and recommends changes to maintain compliance with federal and state requirements and internal policies.
  • Submits staff HR request.
  • Supports hiring managers in organizing recruitments, such as interview set up and communication.
  • Oversees new hire checklists and submit requests.
  • Assists in the maintenance of departmental organizational charts.
  • Submits separations to Payroll for Staff in timely manner.
