Position:
Electro Mechanic
Shift: 2nd - 3:30pm - 12:00am, Monday - Friday. Overtime and Saturdays may be required. Training will be on 1st shift for approximately 1 month before moving to 2nd shift.
Wage: $25.63 - $38.94 (based on experience) + $0.40 shift premium for 2nd shift.

Reporting to the facility and maintenance operations manager, you will support second shift maintenance, troubleshoot equipment and process issues, and schedule work orders and projects.
What You Will Be Doing
Collaborate with Process Development and Advanced Manufacturing Engineering teams to improve manufacturing equipment and processes.Repair electrical equipment/systems and control circuits, including troubleshooting Three Phase Motors and PLC applications.Apply NFPA 70E standards in your work to ensure safety.Install electrical wiring and equipment, including new services and repairs (including computer cables).Manage work orders and scheduling using our enterprise asset management system.Perform repairs on buildings and equipment, maintain and repair bundlers and machine parts, and make dies.Assist in reducing downtime and improving quality through technical support.We’d Love To Hear From You If
You have a minimum of 5 years manufacturing experience.You hold an AS Degree or equivalent in Electronics, Electrical Controls, or Industrial Engineering/Technology.You have PLC ladder logic troubleshooting and problem-solving experience.You are experienced with AC/DC servo drives, stepper motors, and VFDs.Configuration and programming experience is a plus.You have strong electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills and own your tools.Experience with Allen Bradley and Siemens is highly desirable.You possess excellent professional and interpersonal skills.Sonoco offers a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive pay, health coverage, retirement plans, wellness resources, paid time off, insurance options, and tuition reimbursement.
